Overview:Walter Scott Winesis a producer based in the Willamette ValleyinOregon.The operation was founded in 2008 by husband and wife team Erica Landon and Ken Pahlow. It is based in the Eola-Amity Hills district, and works with partner growers there and in theChehalem Mountains, Ribbon Ridge,and Willamette Valley AVAs.

The partner growers are committed to dry farming without the use of herbicides, pesticides or fungicides. Wines are made using native or ambient yeast and French oak. Punchdowns and other extraction techniques are kept to a minimum.

The name comes from Ken’s grandfather Walter, and his late nephew Scott.

We believe in Willamette Valley Chardonnay. This classic variety has an important place in our region and at Walter Scott, not in the replication of other inspirational regions, but in its own distinctive style, with its own compelling voice. Chardonnay is a grape which has the ability to translate our unique geology in the same way Pinot noir does. Through thoughtful farming and cellar practices, we strive to allow Chardonnay to reach its powerful Willamette Valley potential.

Tasting notes: Density and precision.
