Tenuta di Carleone – Chianti Classico

Overview:The Austrian entrepeneur Karl Egger and his family have been visitors to region of Tuscany for decades. They fell in love with small corner, just outside the medieval town of Radda in Chianti between the citis of Siena and Florence.

Essence of Radda in Chianti. Sangiovese pure. Our expression of our little corner of Tuscany.

The Winery is right in the middle of Chianti Classico, within the original borders of the Chianti Storico. So we decided to honour the area and make a 100% Sangiovese that expresses our little corner of Radda in Chianti.

Tasting Notes: Bright, radiant ruby red. Initially with slight volatile acidity on the nose, then very fragrant and floral, with notes of rose hips, blood oranges, some rose petal, minimal spice on the finish, inviting. The palate displays great juiciness, clear, juicy cherry fruit, pithy-salty finish, nice length.

Pairing:Braised lamb shoulder with rosemary and garlic.
